I stayed here now for the 4th or 5th time over the years and this time about a week. The staff were extremely accommodating and catered to all my requests as needed. The breakfast was redundant but you always had the option of requesting something special for breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful with a variety and always with a fruit platter, fruit juice fresh pureed and tea or coffee. Everything was neatly laid out on the table. The room was very comfortable with a lovely private balcony, the view wasn't very nice, it just showcased the streets and shops. The rooms were cleaned nicely and sheet changes must be requested or you will have the same sheets throughout. The pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was very utile. The shower was excellent with various options. The water was always hot and lovely. Everything worked great. Wonderful towels in the bathroom very large and plush. There was a supply of shampoo, body wash, bar soaps. You must request them to be replenished. Toilet paper can be requested. There is a fridge in the room that is very useful to fill it with things you need. The elevator works wonderful. Nearby is the Sathosa where you can get groceries but no facial tissues or toilet paper, that you can buy in the adjoining paper store. The paper store has so much in it associated with paper. Nearby are innumerable stores from electronics, to groceries, to toys, to household items. The Kandy City Center is about 8-10 blocks away, but very near. It is a great location to walk around. Lovely restaurants nearby are the Global Kitchen, Summer Indian, Italian restaurant is Burger & Panini within a few blocks, there are also less clean restaurants for local fares like dosas, hoppers, and similar items. I really enjoyed staying here and hope to being here again with the lovely staff.

The staff at Ceyloni City Hotel went above and beyond to help us during our time in Kandy. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming and we were really glad we chose to stay there. During one night, we unexpectedly had to go to the hospital and Ruwan who works the night shift made sure we made it there and even wrote on WhatsApp to make sure everything was okay. He let us back in when we returned and checked in with us in the morning to see if everything was still okay. Ruwan was so kind and definitely our hero that night! The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the included breakfast was very tasty and filling as well. The central location made it easy to get around either by TukTuk or on foot and I always felt safe there as well.

This is a proper hotel, we had a large nice and clean room just as we'd expect back in England. With a proper working shower. The only downside was it can be noisy, as they obviously don't need double glazing so the widows let in the City noise. Trucks and cars starting up and driving by and people talking and shouting in the street. None of this really bothered us as we were so tired after walking miles to see the sights. The hotel is well placed for the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which is a 15 to 20 minute walk. There are lots of restaurants in easy reach too. Nice to get a refreshing glass of juice on arrival

We had a great stay at this centrally located hotel in Kandy. It was within walking distance of the city center and the Temple of the Tooth, which was very convenient. The rooms were spacious and equipped with air conditioning. As a family, we were given two rooms next to each other, which was perfect. There was a bit of noise from the street, but nothing too disturbing. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful, assisting us with our luggage. Overall, it felt like a higher standard than a typical 2-star hotel.

Great place to stay if you're looking for a budget stay next to the main street. It's walking distance from the main market and from the temple of tooth relic too. Don't go on the maps as it's not even a km from the temple. Rooms are spacious with a balcony. There is not alot of noise even though it's next to the street. All facilities provided, super clean with a really courteous staff. I would recommened this stay for anyone looking for a great accomodation on budget.
